🗣️ Speaking: Abilities (Can & Can’t)

🗣️ SPEAKING CHALLENGE

STEP 1 DI 10

Prova subito il simulatore vocale qui sopra 👆. Se qualcosa non ti torna, studia la teoria qua sotto 👇!

💡 Usare Can & Can’t

Il verbo CAN si usa per le capacità, i permessi o le abilità. È un verbo “speciale” perché è invariabile (non cambia mai, nemmeno con he/she/it).

  • Affermativo: I can swim. (So nuotare).
  • Negativo: I can’t swim. (Non so nuotare).
  • Interrogativo: Can you swim? (Sai nuotare?).

💡 Nota: Dopo “can” o “can’t” il verbo va sempre nella sua forma base senza “to”. Non dire mai “I can to swim”!

🚫 L’errore fatale: “I know” vs “I can”

Questo è l’errore n.1 degli studenti italiani. Quando vuoi dire “So fare qualcosa” (abilità), in inglese si usa sempre CAN. “I know” si usa solo per le conoscenze teoriche o le persone.

Cosa vuoi dire 🇮🇹 Corretto ✅ Errore ❌
So nuotare.I can swim.I know to swim.
Sa suonare la chitarra. He can play the guitar. He knows to play the guitar.
