📚 Quando si usa il Past Simple?
Il Past Simple si usa per:
- descrivere azioni concluse nel passato 🕰️
- raccontare eventi in sequenza ✍️
- situazioni che non hanno legami con il presente ⛔️
Espressioni di tempo tipiche:
yesterday, last night, last week, in 2001, two days ago…
Esempi:
- I visited London last year. 🇬🇧
- She cooked dinner yesterday. 🍝
✅ Come si forma il Past Simple (verbi regolari)
👉 Frasi affermative
Soggetto + verbo + -ed

Per i verbi che terminano in -e, si aggiunge solo -d (es. live → lived).
Per i verbi con consonante + y → cambia la y in i (es. study → studied).

Soggetto + did not (didn’t) + verbo base

Il verbo torna alla forma base, perché il passato è già nel “did”.

🔊 Pronuncia dei verbi in -ed
Ci sono 3 modi di pronunciare la desinenza -ed in inglese:

🇮🇹 Attenzione: differenze con l’italiano
In italiano usiamo il passato prossimo:
“Ho giocato” = I played
❌ Non dire I have played per eventi conclusi con tempo definito → Usa il Past Simple!
