Fronting & Emphasis (C1/C2)

๐ŸŽฏ

I can tolerate many things, but I cannot tolerate such arrogance. Many things I can tolerate, but such arrogance I cannot tolerate.
He has read every single book on that list.Every single book on that list he has read.

Concessive Fronting (Aggettivo / Avverbio + As / Though)

  • Tired though he was, he finished the report. (Sebbene fosse stanco…)
  • Difficult as the exam was, she achieved top marks. (Per quanto difficile fosse l’esame…)
  • Much as I would love to help, I’m too busy.

  • On the hill stood an old castle. (Sulla collina sorgeva un vecchio castello โž” Soggetto ‘an old castle’ dopo il verbo).
  • Down came the rain. (Venne giรน la pioggia).

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Come costruirle
