🎯 Obiettivo della lezione (C1/C2)
I Mixed Conditionals (condizionali misti) uniscono il passato e il presente per descrivere come un evento passato influenzi la situazione attuale (o viceversa). Inoltre, a livello avanzato è essenziale sostituire il classico *”if”* con congiunzioni formali e sfumate come *provided that, unless, supposing* o *on condition that*. 🚀
🌟 Mixed Conditionals (Condizionali Misti)
A livello C1/C2 superiamo la rigidità dei 4 condizionali standard combinando clausole temporali differenti:

⏱️ Alternative a “If” (Congiunzioni Avanzate)
Nei contesti formali e scritti si usano congiunzioni specifiche per introdurre condizioni con particolari sfumature di significato:
- Provided / Providing (that): A patto che, ammesso che (es. Provided that you finish your work, you can leave early.)
- Unless: A meno che / Se non (es. Unless you apologize, I won’t speak to you.)
- Supposing / Suppose (that): Supponendo che / Ipotizziamo che (es. Supposing you lost your job, what would you do?)
- On condition that: A condizione rigorosa che (es. He was released on condition that he stayed away from the city.)
- Even if: Anche se (ipotesi forte, concessiva) (es. Even if it rains, we will go hiking.)
🔗 Implied Conditionals (Condizionali Sottintesi)
Spesso la clausola condizionale con *”if”* non è esplicitamente espressa, ma è nascosta dietro a espressioni come *”But for”*, *”Without”* o sottintesa nel contesto:
- Without your help, I wouldn’t have finished the project. (Senza il tuo aiuto / = If you hadn’t helped me…)
- But for the traffic, we would have been here on time. (Se non fosse stato per il traffico…)
🛠️ Come costruirli
Per costruire correttamente i condizionali misti e le strutture con alternative a “if”, segui questi schemi formali:
