🎓 A Word from Prof. Meow Meow
Note: the simulator checks only for the key grammar structures. The Prof. looks at whether you can build the sentence correctly: if the foundations are solid, you get the reward. The goal here is to unlock your spoken fluency, not dictionary perfection!
1. The Basics: The Verb To Be ⚡
In English, introducing yourself is almost all about the verb to be (I am / I’m). The golden rule: don’t translate word for word from your own language, especially expressions with the verb have.
- ✅ Age: I am 20 years old. (In English you “are” an age, you don’t “have” it. Forget the verb have!)
- ✅ Name: I am Marco / My name is Marco. (Don’t say “I call myself Marco”.)
2. The Most Common Mistakes 🗝️
Here is a summary of the fixed structures to memorise, so you avoid big mistakes when you talk about where you are from or what you do.
