Significato
- Both = tutti e due
- Neither = nessuno dei due
- Either = uno o l’altro (non importa quale)
Come si usano?
✅ Both
Si usa quando parli di due cose vere o incluse.
- Both my parents are teachers.
- I like both restaurants.
- We can take both buses.
Si può usare con un sostantivo plurale oppure con “of” + oggetto/pronome:
- Both books are interesting.
- Both of them are ready.
✅ Either
Si usa per dire che una delle due opzioni va bene, o per frasi negative che escludono entrambe.
- You can take either road. (Entrambe vanno bene.)
- I don’t like either movie. (Nessuna delle due mi piace.)
✅ Neither
Si usa per dire che nessuna delle due è vera/valida/possibile.
- Neither answer is correct.
- Neither of my friends came to the party.
- I neither smoke nor drink.

Sì, ma attenzione! In frasi negative:
- I don’t like either movie. = Non mi piace nessuno dei due.
“Neither” è già negativo, serve il “not”?
No. È già negativo.

Cosa cambia tra “Both of them” e “They both”?
